Below are a few of the many special events hosted by the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad. Click on an event for more details.

 

Evening Star Dinner Train

Dinner Trains have returned to The New Hope & Ivyland Railroad, New Hope, PA.

Passengers can ride the rails in first class comfort, enjoying dinner and cocktails while appreciating the changing scene provided by the historic Bucks County.

Ticket price includes:

2 hour round trip to Buckingham Valley.

Served dinner includes:

SALAD (choose one)
-Mixed greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette.

ENTREES (choose one)
Catfish
-Seared catfish fillet topped with a Creole beurre blanc and served over smashed red bliss potatoes and seasonal vegetable

Beef Stir Fry
-Bok choy, broccoli, red onion, carrots, red peppers, cabbage, and tender strips of beef tossed in a Negimayaki sauce served over ginger rice

Mediterranean Chicken
-Breaded and fried chicken breast topped with a caper & brown butter emulsion served over smashed red bliss potatoes and seasonal vegetable

Penne Pasta
(Vegetarian/Vegan)
-Fusilli pasta tossed with white wine, garlic, saffron, pine nuts and currants. Topped with shaved Parmesan.


DESSERT
Berry Shortcake
-Fresh local berries layered between whipped cream and shortcake topped with blackberry coulis

The Evening Star Dinner Train operates on the following dates:

- June 7th & 21st
- July 5th & 19th
- August 2nd, 16th, & 30th

- Passengers may begin boarding the train at 7:00pm

-Cocktails are served starting at 7:00pm

-Train departs for Buckingham Valley 7:30pm - Dinner served

-Train returns to New Hope Station 9:30pm

-Casual attire is suggested.

-Smoking is not permitted onboard the train.

-The railroad reserves the right to alter schedules and substitute equipment as operating conditions demand.

-These tickets are non-exchangeable, non-refundable.

Song and Story Hour

Song & Story Hour

On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11am, 12 noon and 1pm June 12 through September 4 the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad will be operating Song and Story Hour trains out of the New Hope Train station. Children can ride aboard the train while enjoying their favorite stories and sing along songs performed by local musicians.

A great way to spend time with the family.

The "Grapevine Express"

Join us for a Romantic Wine and Cheese Excursion at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays thru October. Ride the rails in first class comfort in our beautifully restored, air conditioned Parlor Car, enjoying fine cheeses, crackers and exclusive vintage from local wineries. Additional Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic beverages are also available onboard All passengers onboard the Wine and Cheese Excursion must be 21 years of age or older.

Note: Each table seats up to 4 passengers in a group, additional passengers will be seated at an adjacent table.

Trick or Treat Train

"Trick or Treat Trains"

Bring the entire family out for a 9 mile, one hour round trip to Lahaska aboard the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad's Annual Trick or Treat train. Help us make a truly frightful sight! Children of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in costume and will receive halloween candy onboard the train. Afterwards, trick or treat around the station for more suprises!

Trick or Treat Trains depart the New Hope station at 6:00pm.

Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre Returns to New Hope Line!

The New Hope & Ivyland Railroad and Act 1 Productions bring you "The Chameleon" on select dates for an edge-of-your-seat, whodunit? evening of suspense!

Ride the rails with Santa, Mrs. Claus and a host of holiday revelers for a truly unique holiday season experience the whole family will be sure to enjoy.

Children and adults of all ages are invited to ride this special holiday train. Listen to a story, have free hot cocoa and cookies while Santa visits with each child onboard and presents them with a special gift.

Weekday trains depart at:
11:00am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:15pm, and 6:45pm
Reserved pricing as follows:
Adults: $31.00
Children (2-11): $22.50
Children (under 2): $6.00

Weekend trains (including Friday evenings) depart at:
9:30 am, 11:00am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:15pm, and 6:45pm & 8:15pm
Reserved pricing as follows:

Children (2-11): $24.50
Children (under 2): $6.00

First class service is available on all trains. First class passengers are entitled to private bar service (21 and older). First class passengers also board the train immediately (no waiting in line). First to board the train and first to de-board upon returning to the train station. (Seating is limited).

Reservations are strongly suggested. Ticket prices are higher at the Ticket Window on the day of the event.
